On Saturday, March 12, 2016, Irving Plaza in New York came alive as Stonebwoy rocked tens of thousands of music lovers to the best of live band music and awesome stagecraft.

Prior to the concert proper, Stonebwoy was all over the big media platforms; be it print, online, radio, so it wasn’t surprising when tens of thousands turned up at to have a blast of lives.

Powered by W&R projects, Mcs on the night were Bigbo from Ohio and Ghana’s very own Boga. Djs on the night; Dj Slim and Dj Tunez made sure there was never a dull moment as they kept dishing out tunes after tunes to the admiration of the fans.

The show was started by Lolaa and she was the only female performer on the night and was backed by all female dance group from NY. Other acts who mounted the stage on the night to give a thrilling performance include Selasi from Atlanta, TEKNO, STYLEZZ.

Edem came through with some ‘Nyedzilo’ vibes, EL, D Black and more.

Stonebwoy on the night was stunning, no two ways. What a sterling performance he gave on the night! It could clearly be seen by all and sundry who attended the concert that he prepared extremely well for the concert amidst his knee surgery and low fitness level.

Some minutes into his performance, he made sure he was able to establish some sort of rapport between himself and the much-packed crowd, which made his work very easy for him as you could see the audience on their feet singing along and dancing to all his songs on the night.

Holding the crowd for more than an hour, he took the audience to journey through the world of love songs to reggae. He performed songs among others like Rudeboi love, Onumade, Gbedegbede, Shekeena, Pull up, Baafira, Give it to dem, and more.

No wonder after the event, the fans can’t just help but to shower praises on the young chap. I mean it was definitely a celebration of his ascendancy not only on the Ghanaian music scene but also on the international level. He has proved beyond reasonable doubt that he is not a local champion. He proved to all that he has gone beyond filling our Ghanaian concerts, and now packing international concerts to the maximum.

You should have seen the reaction of the crowd when he dropped his smash hit single ‘Mightylele’ not to even talk about the ‘Go higher’ moments. The crowd screamed to the best of their ability when Bright of Buk Bak fame appeared on stage. He performed some of their songs such as Kolom among others.

Big ups Stonebwoy and your team as well as the organizers of this concert, that’s the way to go. Epic, stunning, lit, indeed words can just describe what you did on Saturday. What a show!!!!
