The broadcasters beg to differ with Mark Okraku-Mantey’s submission that Charterhouse’s decision to make Berla Mundi the lead MC for the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) was wrong.
Mr. Okraku-Mantey who is a member of the VGMA board remarked on Showbiz A-Z that, “Per the standards and track record of Ghana Music Awards that I know, Berla Mundi should not have been the lead MC but a support”.
His comment appears to be in bad taste for some people notably GH-One TV’s Nana Aba Anamoah who has described the Slip Music boss as ‘Mr. Know it all’ and urged him to refrain from uttering words of discouragement.
“Mr. know it all. @berlamundi works hard; she earned this. Unless Mark is suggesting that he is wiser than members of the Charter House team who decided on Berla. Encouragement is oxygen to the human spirit.Someone should tell Mark that it pays not to always dull people’s sparkle,” she tweeted.
For Mr. Oti Adjei, Okraku-Mantey’s statement was nothing short of rubbish.
“Begs the question what standard, what track record. A lot of bollocks” his tweet read.
