Nana Aba Anamoah’s Range Rover birthday present has generated a lot of hullabaloo after it was reported.
In the midst of the confusion and questions being raised about the authenticity of the car’s registration, Zion Felix has reached out to experts from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) and an Insurance Company for more education on this topic and ongoing debate.
An official from the DVLA, who spoke with Zion Felix on ‘Z News’ on a condition of anonymity outlined how some vehicle owners use different number plates on different vehicles that are yet to be registered.
According to him, if it was not a systematical mistake, then swapping of number plates is something that most people do in the country.
The Pseudo DVLA official recounted how his outfit has been arresting people who flout the regulations of the authority.
Leticia Asare, who also works with Star Assurance Company Limited, admitted that an error can occur when a car is being registered but personally, she hasn’t made such a mistake before.
She asserted that registrants can now cross-check with a code roll out by the National Insurance Commission (NIC).
Leticia Asare advised that such errors must be corrected systematically by Vehicle owners when noticed.
