Grammy Award-winning American hip-hop trio from East Orange, New Jersey, Naughty by Nature, billed to perform in Ghana on Friday December 6 at the Back In The Day Concert will arrive in Ghana on Thursday December 5.
The much hyped event which is expected to attract a large number of music fans in Ghana, Nigeria, Togo and Cote D’lvoire would take place at the Accra International Conference Centre on Friday, Farmers’ Day December 6, at 7:00pm.
Members of Naughty By Nature, whose music has attracted a large following, have promised to leave no stone unturned in their bid to make the show grand. The group said they have a surprise Christmas package for patrons of the event.
The organizers of the event led by the Chief Executive Officer of Empire Entertainment, Bola Ray, confirmed to BEATWAVES that the American hip-hop group would perform alongside selected hiplife artistes on December 6, adding that, Naughty By Nature would arrive in Ghana this Thursday for a pre-party with Ghanaian artistes at Rockstone’s Office.
He said this year’s event promises to be different and would bring out the biggest passion of Ghanaians, which is good music.
Bola Ray disclosed that some of the local artistes billed to perform alongside Naughty By Nature include Reggie Rockstone, Obrafour, T. Blaze and T.H 4Qwages.
He stressed that the event would also create the platform for some of the biggest local artistes to perform for the enjoyment of music fans.
The group which was formed in 1989 and consists of Treach (Anthony Criss, born December 2, 1970), Vin Rock (Vincent Brown, born September 17, 1970), and the DJ Kay Gee (Keir Gist, born September 15, 1969), is one of the few hip-hop acts who were able to balance success on the pop charts with hardcore credibility.
