Never compare yourself to me – Shatta Wale tells Stonebwoy

Controversial dancehall artist, Shatta Wale, has asked his arch rival and fellow musician Stonebwoy to begin being serious towards his work after being signed on by Record Label Zylofon Music.

According to him, Stonebwoy is not doing much to justify the huge signing on fee spent on him.

The two artistes have not been on good terms as they’ve been throwing shades at each other in recent times.

Rumours have been rife that Stonebwoy who was having issues with Zylofon Music had his problems compounding with the signing of Shatta Wale onto the same record-management outfit.

Deep throat sources say the ‘Come From Far (Wogbe Jeke)’ hitmaker has terminated his working relationship with Zylofon–to the chargrin of the CEO, Nana Appiah Mensah.

One of the main reasons why Stonebwoy left, sources say is the fact that Zylofon signed Shatta Wale without informing him and held a meeting prior to signing Shatta Wale to discuss the signing, which they invited almost all those who matter at the label without extending an invitation to him.

Stonebwoy reportedly showed his displeasure over the development arguing he was told by Zylofon before his signing that he was to represent Dancehall at the label–and therefore the signing of Shatta Wale onto the same label breaches their contract.

But speaking on Peace FM, Shatta Wale urged Stonebwoy not to ever compare himself to him as he comes nowhere near him (Shatta).

“Someone has invested huge money in you, just get down and do the work. You cannot be Ronaldo, you just have to understand certain things in life and move on, I was Bandana before I became Shatta Wale. When I was Bandana you weren’t there, you don’t know the experiences I had in life before I got to this level, Stonebwoy!

“Iwan can’t compare himself to me, Jupiter can’t compare himself to me, the only colleague I have in the game that I can play with is Samini. Terry Bonchaka (RIP), Yoogi Doggy is my Godfather. You should understand the position in which you stand in life. If I’ve been signed and given 40 trillion bla bla bla it shouldn’t worry you because you haven’t gotten there. That’s all I want to tell him, he should calm down and do the work. It’s so painful that people don’t appreciate their position in life.”
