The newly appointed executives of the Models Union of Ghana (MODUGA) were sworn into office at the VIP Lounge of the National Theatre in Accra on Friday January 31.

The swearing-in ceremony was performed by Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors Nanayaw Kwakye-Boadu for them to begin their term in office.

They are the President, Mr. Kofi Asante Mensah; the Vice-President, Miss Zino Lexili Ogazi; the General Secretary Miss Bellissar A. Brown, Mr. Tete Bills Azumah, the Public Relations Officer, Mr. Michael Cofie, the Head of Finance; the Organizer, Miss Mariam Boateng Teboah; the Head of Agencies, Graham Davies Attoh and Head of Models, Mr. Rinner Ayelzoya.

In attendance were Executive Member of the Creative Art Council, Mr. Socrates Sarfo; MUSIGA Presidential Aspirants Bessa Simons and Ras Caleb.

Others were second Deputy Chairperson of the Supreme Board of MODUGA Mr. Sparkzuta and Board member Mr. Ken Kunaza, Head of Administration at MUSIGA Ahuma Ocansey a.k.a Daddy Bosco and several Veteran Models including Barbara R. Assane at the high table.

Mr. Kofi Asante Mensah for his part said the union will focus on “one goal, one voice” to reunite the industry to ensure that, the union continues to grow to contribute its quota to the creative arts and national development.

The Vice President, Miss Zino Lexili Ogazi in her speech encouraged executives to be strong for the task ahead.

According Mr. Socrates Sarfo and Bessa Simons keeping proper database and welfare of models will attract cooperate and Government’s attention to invest in the art of Modeling.

Ras Caleb and Barbara R. Assane appealed for unity, active participation and a careful watch into the various model agencies to ensure discipline, good values and ethics.

Certificate of Appointments signed by the Supreme Board Chairlady Mad. Lilian Sally Addo were presented to the executives by the Special guests of honour from the various domains of the Creative Arts Industry.
