Nicknamed Foxy…Ghana’s hottest video vixen

LilianBeing memorable should be a video vixen’s number 1 objective with her dance moves. If you’ve seen K. K. Fosu’s (Anadwo Yede), 2 Toff’s (Shake Your Body), Ebo’o’s (Once, Twice) video and more, then you definitely know who am talking off. She’s the one who has got everyone buzzing with her hypnotic moves.

Lillian also known as Foxy in the video circles has passed all these tests and is the most sought-after vixen in the Ghana music industry. As you can see, it is time for her to shine.

Foxy decided to pursue her secret dream after watching rehearsals of Adjetey Sowah in her teens and later landing major deals with all the big Ghanaian musician shots you can talk of.

Today, with her agent, Frank she is landing her leads as well as gigs like dancing at every major show. Foxy wants to wean herself off the video moves in a year’s time for another journey in life.

Stay glued to your computer monitors and let Ghana Music.com take you through Lillian aka Foxy’s world of dancing.

Ghana Music.com: So how did it all begin for you?

Foxy: I started dancing at the age of 16 where I had my inspiration from Adjetey Sowah because his group rehearsed in my house. During my secondary education at the Keta Secondary, I started my professional dancing for Ivy Stone. After SSS, I was approached by Sidney for a two year contract as his personal dancer. After Sidney’s contract died out, I danced for VIP for a couple of shows. I moved on to dance for Wutah. I also performed for Obour and Mad Fish and have finally settled with Obrafour.

Ghana Music.com: Who is a video vixen?

Foxy: She portrays the kind of dance the artiste wants his or her fans to move to when they hear that particular music. A vixen is used as a medium to communicate a particular dance to the fans.

Ghana Music.com: What should a video dancer have?

Foxy: He or she should acquire all dancing skills be it hiphop, dancehall, salsa, etc. Also you should be physically fit and also should be creative and presentable. Should not be a camera shy person but confident.

Ghana Music.com: Should a female video dancer always be pretty?

Foxy: Big No! But should be presentable and confident, not camera shy.

Ghana Music.com: Do you think a little bit of nudity and seductiveness sells a video?

Foxy: Yes. Because, honestly sex sells to me. No offence to others but that’s my belief.

Ghana Music.com: What are some of your popular and favourite videos you have starred in?

Foxy: K. K. Fosu’s (Anadwo Yede), Reggie Rockstone’s & Beenie Man’s (Chuku Chaka), 2 Toff’s (Shake Your Body), Lumba, Ebo’o’s (Once, Twice), Sidney’s (Obia Nye Obia) and Obrafour’s (Ako).

Ghana Music.com: How long have you been doing this?

Foxy: Been around for eight years now.

LilianGhana Music.com: I hear you have your own dancing group?

Foxy: Yes but the group was formed by KOD during the time my group was dancing for Wutah.

Ghana Music.com: Tell me a little bit about yourself?

Foxy: Am Lillian Holloway, 24 years of age. Am half Ga and Ewe. Chocolate in complexion. I love reading, watching music videos, movies, swimming and cooking.

Ghana Music.com: Since the videos you star in looks like a part time job, what else do you do?

Foxy: I do part time work with Ghana Classified as a journalist for their entertainment news.

Ghana Music.com: How are you able to ’shake your butt’? Are you aware people are going crazy over your new Target Gin Bitters (Ogidigidi) advert?

Foxy: It’s been part of my dance moves for ages. No I am not aware of that and I think the people are in love with the advert because of the dance flavour my group and I added to it.

Ghana Music.com: What do you want to be remembered for in your videos?

Foxy: My costumes in the videos and exquisite dance moves.

Ghana Music.com: How do you plan for a video shootage? What comes in mind when you are called to dance?

Foxy: I listen to the song for the video. Then find a costume to fit the concept of the video and also rehearse with the song to get the right moves to suit the song or the interest of the artiste or the video director.

Ghana Music.com: Any favourite show performance or video clip yet?

Foxy: Lumba, Ebo’o, 2 Toff and the TiGO Experience Tour.

Ghana Music.com: Does it pay in dancing in the videos? What’s the average wage?

Foxy: Not really in Ghana. But I love it, because it’s my life. I love to dance. So far, my average is two million cedis for a show and four million for a video.

Ghana Music.com: Do the male artistes worry you?

Foxy: Yes but won’t go further.

Ghana Music.com: How long do you plan on staying in the video scene?

Foxy: One year

Ghana Music.com: What’s the future for Lillian?

Foxy: Go back to school to offer a degree course in computer science in the tertiary institution.
