No Bikini For Miss Ghallywood

West Coast Entertainment, organisiers of Miss Ghallywood and Talent Hunt reality show for the movie industry, has announced that the upcoming event will not feature a bikini segment.

Even though they did not state the reason, banners of the show have bold inscriptions saying “no bikini.” But close sources said it was a move to bring some difference in pageant organization.http://www.ameyawdebrah.com/

Miss Ghallywood is the latest pageant to hit Ghana’s movie industry. It is a beauty pageant for actresses as it is designed to celebrate Ghanaian movie actors/actresses, as well appreciate the fans who patronise their movies, discover and make new movie stars and celebrities.

It will serve as a platform for wannabe actors and those who hardly get the opportunity to play lead roles in movies to exhibit their talent. The pageant will begin with an audition in Kumasi at Paparazi Hotel on November 19 and in Accra at the Chibert Plaza, off the Spintex Road on November 26. The main event itself will take place in December.

There is no age limit for this show and contestants must be actresses or must know how to act. Also, contestants must be Ghanaians with good looks, attitude, good diction and other qualities of actresses. The event will be in two segments. There will be a modeling part where contestants will be taken through normal beauty pageant routines. The second stage will be the talent hunt where contestants will be given scripts to act on stage.

That will be the most important of the show as contestants will be expected to up their game for the top three positions. Winner of the pageant will drive home a Kia prize car, Plasma TV for 1st runner-up and Home Theatre for the 2nd runner-up.

Beside the Kia car for the main winner, Miss Ghallywood, she will get lead roles in movies in Nigeria and Ghana. She will be taken to film festivals in Nigeria, given modeling jobs, one year bragging rights and management contract.
