High life singer Bessa Simons who currently vying for MUSIGA presidency has condemned the shameful act by Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy at this year’s VGMA and apologized to the world on their behalf.
He expressed his candid opinion on this unacceptable chaos in a recent interview with Amansan Krakye on Cape Coast-based Radio Central 92.5 MHz.
“It’s very abhorring and a big disgrace. Nobody believed these musicians could disgrace us like that. I mean how can this happen. This is something I don’t condone”, he lamented.
He also advised young artistes not to emulate it because musicians are respected and seen as role models in the society.
“I mean I don’t want to see this happen again. I won’t advise any up-and-coming artiste to copy this behaviour. It’s not good for our industry”, he warned.
“Look at us, we are very decent and respectable. If you are musician you have to be respected because we are pacesetters, we are role models”, he revealed.
Bessa Simons is therefore apologizing to the world to forgive these two dancehall artists.
“So this is a big blow to us musicians and we are saying sorry to the whole world for this disgrace”, he added.
