Lawrence Asiamah Hanson, former manager of Shatta Wale, has said no other artiste in Ghana deserves the ‘Reggae/Dancehall artiste of the year’ than Stonebwoy.
According to him, the whole of Ghana is already aware that no other dancehall artiste can compete with Stonebwoy who has established a highly reputable brand for himself.
Bulldog as he is commonly known made these statements when he appeared as guest on the Pundit Show aired on GHOne TV.
He was asked by the host what his expectation are for the upcoming Ghana Music Awards to be held in 2018.
Bulldog said: “As for the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year, the whole of Ghana knows that Stonebwoy is the winner.”
“Stonebwoy will also win the Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year’,” the CEO of Bullhaus Entertainment stressed. When asked by the other guests on the show his expectation of Shatta Wale, Bulldog refused to make a comment.
His refusal to comment on Shatta Wale’s chances of winning could mean that Bulldog believes the ‘Taking Over’ hit maker does not deserve that title.
He went on to emphasize that no other dancehall musician deserves that prestigious title better than Stonebwoy does.
Bulldog also listed his own choices for the 2018 Ghana Music Awards.
He displayed confidence that the ‘Song of the Year’ award will go to Patapaa for his hit song ‘One Corner’.
The ‘Highlife Song of the Year’, according to him must go to Kumi Guitar. He also stated that the Northern Star, Fancy Gadam deserves the ‘Artiste of the Year’ because he has been able to break the marginalisation of Northern Region musicians.
Bulldog noted however, that the 2018 Ghana Music Awards is going to be a stressful one for the organizers owing to the fact that the Ghana Music Industry has witnessed a lot of good works from many artistes.
Despite that fact, he still believes Stonebwoy deserves the ‘Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year’ and Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year’.
