Ghanaian movie producer and director Mr Asare Bediako has categorically stated that nobody can take their cars given to them by the previous government.

According to Mr Bediako in an exclusive interview with SeancityGh’s Ruth, the cars were given to the entertainment players under the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) program and that the beneficiaries of the cars went through due diligence before taking them.

“I don’t even want to talk about the car issues. The more we talk about it the more it shows that we don’t love ourselves. Because the cars didn’t come for certain individuals but rather to the whole Creative Arts industry. They were coming in batches and even another batch is in which they’re about to share as we’re talking. No one can take the cars from us.

They’re making it political. Who’s coming to collect the cars? Let someone come forward. A lot of the stars are riding in theirs in Accra and no one is talking about them. Why are the Kumasi people talking like that?”, he queried.

Some creative arts industry players were given cars under the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) by the previous NDC government which according to people were those affiliated to the party.
