Obour Storms NY

Easter is a period where Christians celebrate the death and resurrection of Christ. Easter at the same time is a pilgrimage for Kwahus around the world paying homage to their hometowns. The weekend is always filled with fun and unity. Easter Dance in New York has become a trademark for the Kwahuman Association in New York. This year's Easter in New York is extraordinary and can also be termed as "Da bomb". The Easter buzz has not been felt like this before in New York.

The reason is because the Easter event features the inventor, innovator, writer, and singer of the worldwide Ghanaian song of the moment "Konkontibaa" "Aboa Konkontibaa, Obenyini aye kese, na wadane aponkyirani".(Nod your head). Over four hundred tickets have been sold in advance and what is left; will be sold at the gate.
Kwahuman Association of New York led by the hard working Mr. Koo Fosu (President) and the energetic and well-known Secretary; Mr. Fred Dwamena ; popularly known as "Bronx Odikiro" are hopeful that this year's event is going to be hot like fire. They really mean business. They want to create something that will go down in history as one of the best Easter moments Ghanaians in New York have experienced. "Wompe wei na wope dien". It is going to be a weekend of fun for all Ghanaians.
Also featured is the Legendary, Dr. Paa Bobo, popularly known as the artiste behind "Asobrotwie ", its famous catchy line "Se obi do obi a, na eye obi ahi , Obi do obi no, na eye obi ya". This is definitely a song all of us can relate to because many have experienced the jealousies that exist in life. He is performing to take some of our brothers and sisters to the old school.
The event would be featured exclusively on Ghanahomepage, Ghanamusic.com, The New Ghanaian, Dondoweb/Dondo magazine, and the Ghanaian Times. It is also going to be a night of old school, reunions, fun and the great way of celebrating the Easter in style.
It is happening on Saturday, March 26th 2005, 10pm to 4am @ Armenia Hall, Manhattan (off 34th Street and 2nd Avenue).
