Obrafour, Others Slated For 1004 Laughs

A controversy between two men of God, Bishop Michael Osei Bonsu and Postor Love Hammond over seven songs has in the past weeks made different headlines in various newsprints. This has become a topic for discussion on several radio programs and a worry for followers of both sides.

The argument between them has never ended, the death threat is still pending and Bishop?s mysterious illness stays uncured as tensions between the two intensify by the minute. This is to say that almost everything that brought about the misunderstanding remains the same even as the story keeps unfolding by the day.

Weeks after the news had made rounds both in the local and international media, Pastor Love together with his wife (Christiana Love), DJ Agyeman (Channel ?R?) and two gentlemen took off to Bishop?s residence to smoke the peace pipe and let bygones be bygones.

According to Pastor Love, he wanted to settle everything amicably and pray for him to get well soon. At Bishop?s residence, another dramatic scene halted the intentions of peace that Love and his entourage may have had. Suddenly, a crowd of no specific identity trooped to Bishop?s house to beat up Poster Love and his entourage.

The crowd with sticks and other weapons warned and threatened to kill Pastor Love should the Bishop die. A close source said a member of Osei Bonsu?s family almost hit Pastor Love with a stick but for the intervention of people around. Fortunately there was no casualty. This rose Pastor Love?s anger and he also threatened to leave till he was calmed down by his wife after which he agreed to pray for the sick Bishop as promised.

On the other hand, Bishop also said he will not allow a furious pastor to lay hands on him for prayers. In the end, no progress was made and Pastor Love with his entourage went back home with mission unaccomplished.

Days thereafter, Pastor Love came out clearly to accept the death threat allegation he initially denied, and explained it was out of anger.

In addition, Love has also forgiven the remaining thirty million cedis he was expecting from Bishop and apologized for any mistake he has made and any nerve he has touched. Bishop?s reaction to this is; ?to err is human and to forgive is divine. This is to let everybody be careful what they say with their mouth because it may turn round against you?. Presently, Ghanaians living in Italy, Canada, U.K, U.S.A, Germany and other countries are raising funds to take care of his medical needs.

Here in Ghana, well-wishers are sending support to Channel ?R? an Accra based Christian radio station.
