Obrefuor Ba Going Places With ?Twi Me Meko?

Obrefuor Ba He makes the world go round. In bars, offices, buses and homes, we talk about him- how he does the amazing things he does, how he overcomes grief and tragedy, how he keeps the world guessing. He is the world?s most intriguing black of 2004 and he is influential in entertainment. He came virtually from nowhere. He goes by the name Obrefuor Ba.

At age 20, the sensational artiste has had meteoric rise to fame. His debut album, ?Twi Me Meko?, will set the music world on fire, it is said. On his current ten-song ?Twi me Meko? album, Obrefuor Ba remains on his feet against all odds with songs like ?Twi Me Meko?, ?Adwemmone?, ?Okatakyie?,  ?Cynthia Ahoofe?, ?Maame Esi Amoah?, ?Obra? (life), ?Jukeyafii? (little child), ?Abrabo? (living) and the likes.

First on the album is his blazing track titled ?Twi Me Meko? featuring Bandanna and Adinkra. This track is really shooting Obrefuor Ba into the lime light with the help of God. ?Twi Me Meko? tells a story of a young man who has really missed his wife who is at the moment not with him. The young man goes on to say that his wife should come back because he cannot do anything without her. This song really stimulates the mind. It makes eavesdroppers rewind their cassettes and compact discs two, three or even four times.

Following closely is another hit track titled ?Adwemmone? which has this highlife rhythm. It also advises all people to stop having negative ideologies about others since we are all one.

?Okatakyie? comes next on the magnificent album. This soul inspiring song is a soothing song that stresses the awesome deeds of God that are marvellous in the sight of men. In short, it is a song to glorify God.

Fourth on the album is another song which talks of the hardships and difficulties one has to go through before making it big titled ?Obra? (life). Obrefuor Ba consoles everyone in this tune that we should stay calm though life is full of problems but definitely God will see us through.

?Cynthia Ahoofe? featuring Bandanna tells a story of a young guy who fell in love with a beautiful girl by name Cynthia. This track is indeed marvellous.

Next on the album is ?Maame Esi Amoah? which Obrefuor Ba dedicated to all mothers especially his late mum. May her soul rest in peace. Obrefuor Ba describes her mother in three words- loving, caring and patient.

Obrefuor Ba also known as Charles K.A Akumayi, a native of Agona Abodom has a special advice for all children in his ?Jukeyafii? (little child) song. He goes like ?All children should be obedient and respectful to the elderly people and their parents?. Wow, is he not a concerned citizen, a musician who loves the best of his country and someone who wants children to put up good behaviours?

?Abrabo? (living) also has the same message as in ?Obra? (life). A remix of ?Twi Me Meko? featuring Bandanna and Adinkra and an instrumental of ?Okatakyie? close the album. All songs were executively produced by Mr. Lawrence Owusu of Larry O Entertainment and recorded at Hush Hush Studios by King Cyrus.

Inspired by Daasebre Gyamena, Obrefuor Ba is a brilliant scout. ?Now the world is about to witness the transition of Obrefuor Ba to the number one spot as a talented artiste. 2004 will see a lot of work from me, which is for sure?, he said in an interview with Ghana Music.Com.
