The New England Ghana Festival (NEGFest) 2024 is gearing up for its inaugural event scheduled for Friday, September 6 to Sunday, September 8, 2024.
The inaugural NEGFest will feature headline performances by award-winning Ghanaian artistes, including Kwaku Ananse hitmaker Amerado, the evergreen Ofori Amponsah, and the velvety-voiced songstress Sista Afia.
The concert is scheduled to take place on the night of Saturday, September 7, 2024.
This event promises to offer a real taste of something beyond the ordinary, particularly by showcasing the rich cultural traditions of Ghana to the New England community.
While the setlist remains a secret, fans are highly expectant that the artists will perform their latest releases, as well as some of their classic hits.
The New England Ghana Festival (NEGFest 2024), under the auspices of the Ghana Heritage Foundation in partnership with the Akwaaba Clinic, the US-Ghana Embassy, Worcester State University, Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Ghana Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, the Ghana Tourism Authority, Nananom, local churches, and the entire Ghanaian community in New England, along with several other esteemed entities, promises a highly charged setting by putting Ghanaian heritage and culture at the forefront of this inaugural edition.
This festival aims to celebrate Ghanaian heritage and culture under the theme "Sankofa: Embracing Our Heritage, Connecting Our Past."
