Ghanaian singer cum songwriter and the CEO of OGB music Ogidi Brown has cautioned and served a public notice to promoters and the general public that he will take legal action against whosoever would book Fameye for a show without booking him through OGB music.
This comes following some misunderstanding between the record label and the artiste after a video went viral that Fameye has allegedly slapped his manager following an argument between them. Speaking in an interview on “Showbiz Agenda” on Zylofon FM 102.1, he told the host Sammy Flex that, legally the artiste is still under the label but to the artiste himself, he feels he is on his own.
“Bra Sammy I will sue anyone who books Fameye without the knowledge of OGB music. He is still under the label but he feels he is on his own because i have seen a video he used Fameye music instead of OGB music. I have issued a public notice to the newspapers and bloggers to publish that anyone who wants to book Fameye for a show should contact OGB music. If you don’t follow such instructions and go ahead to book him without the label, i will sue you” He narrated.
He further stated that, the management has sat down and discussed with him and they are waiting for his response. According to him, he signed the artiste with 50,000 dollars and if Fameye still insists on being independent, then he should pay the monies before he leaves the label.
“Bra Sammy, I’m a singer but i decided to pause and invest in Fameye. I saw to it that i wouldn’t be able to come to Ghana always so I thought to it that because he is always here, let me just invest in him. I did a couple of songs with him and people said he was humble so i decided to help him. I signed him with 50,00 dollars so if he still wants to be independent then he can pay and he will be free to leave” he explained.
Discussing how painful it is, the singer told the host Sammy Flex that he just does not want to talk but it is really hurting him.”Bra that is not how we do things. I just don’t talk much but it hurts me. The guy, you people should advise him because it isn’t good” Ogidi Brown added.
Meanwhile in the last month, a video went viral which showed the Fameye had engaged in a heated argument with his management which the artiste was alleged to have slapped his manager Ogidi brown.
Fameye in some days after the incident refuted the rumors that he had slapped his manager and asked his manager to forgive him. The manager Ogidi brown also took to his Instagram page and announced to the general public that he had forgiven Fameye.
For your information, Ogidi Brown has just released his much anticipated single which featured Taadi rap king kong Kofi Kinaata titled” Favour us” with visuals on Youtube as well.
