Sensational gospel musician Mercy Twum Ampofo known by her stage name as Ohemaa Mercy has rejected sponsorship requests by alcoholic beverage companies to support her ” Tehillah Experience” program giving them conditions on which she could accept.
During an interview with her on “Showbiz Agenda” on Zylofon FM 102.1, the “aseda” hit maker told the host Sammy Flex that, she would accept monies from alcoholic beverage companies if only they could agree that their company’s name wouldn’t be mentioned at the concert.
“Sammy if it is an alcoholic beverage company, the answer is strictly no. I will take it if they will agree that the name of the company and what they do wouldn’t be mentioned on the platform. If the CEO wants to help, then I can mention his name but for the company, no. If i do so, it doesn’t go with my brand so they should keep their monies” She narrated.
According to her, her brand doesn’t go inline with the products they produce. She further Stated that, she doesn’t charge any amount when it comes to church programs.
"Sammy I’m very strict when it comes to churches. I don’t charge but rather comes to perform and after, the church decides on what to give me. Sometimes it can be good, sometimes too bad but in all I’m always joyful. I only said when it comes to corporate organizations, i will charge but I never said i will charge the church” She added.
According to the “wob3 y3 kese” hit maker, she is always careful with her branding and the physical aspect of her ministration and always she prays for the holy Spirit to give her permission before she leaves for a show.
“People should understand the physical and spiritual aspect of the ministry. Sometimes your brand and also your stage craft should be very important. Every environment you find yourself should determine your dressing” She explained.
In the end, she revealed that monies wouldn’t be taken at the” Tehillah Experience”, it`s a free show because she was instructed by the spirit to do so.
