After staying in the shadows and painfully enduring accusations of copying Okomko Kwaadee?s style for a long time, Okomhyefour is out to tell his own story to Ghana Music.com
The release of his first album, ?Oga? made him big but this success was short-lived as people branded him as an uncreative artiste following the negative comments he received that he was copying Okomfo Kwaadee in the Ghanaian music industry.
Okomhyefour was well heard off when he came out with ?Salamatu? and Ohia??. He was always spotted wearing tatted piece of cloth not forgetting the unkempt hairstyle.
Having been identified a ?thief? and assigned with bad names in the Ghanaian music industry, he will be introducing his new eight track album, which is more a matured album.
Okomhyefour?s style which was seen by many as similar to Okomfo Kwaadee affected him at places his face was seen. Anytime he mounts a stage, he felt uncomfortable for fear of being pointed as a thief. ?This is the style I feel comfortable with and it makes me unique. I don not care what people say?, he said.
Okomhyefour is now matured in his lyrics and will soon let Ghanaians know what his latest project is all about.
Known in private life as Raymond Asiedu Agyekum, the musician was disturbed by comments made on some radio stations that his way of singing and dressing is like Kwaadee.
Okomhyefour claims he had the style way back in the late 1990s.
You may see him new in the Ghanaian music industry, but Raymond Asiedu Agyekum is coming out with his second album with Reggie Zippy and Quata.
Watch for a full preview of the upcoming album which has songs like ?Osofo?, ?419?, ?Ohia?, ?Mayasi Edimi?, ?Abro?, ?Sodongodongo?, ?Odompe Nie? and ?Daakyi Asem?.
For now Okomhyefour, an HND graduate from Ghana School of Survey and Mapping intends to blaze his own path of glory, refusing to tread in anyone else?s footsteps, no matter how iconic they maybe.
