Entertainment pundit Ola Michael has taken a swipe at the leader of Believers Worship Centre, Adom Kyei Duah, for comments he made in a video that has gone viral on social media.
The clergyman, addressing his congregation, claimed that he had been instructed to replace all images of Jesus Christ with his own for the next 500 years.
This comment did not sit well with Ola Michael, who, in a video shared by Accra-based Neat FM, contrasted this mindset with wealthy individuals worldwide.
He says, “Some of the richest people in the world are collecting seeds and food crops worldwide for safekeeping so that we will be able to have food for the next 100 to 500 years.
“They have seen that the rate at which we are using the world’s resources, we would run out of food soon. They are saving these seeds for the future. This is what the wealthy individuals are contemplating.
“But then you come to Ghana, and someone is thinking of trying to replace his face with Jesus. Is this what we are considering in Ghana?” he asked.
Ola Michael’s comments join those of other individuals, including Prophet Ebenezer Adarkwah, also known as Opambour, and Rev. Bernard Amankwah, who criticised Adom Kyei Duah.
