Veteran Ghanaian hip-life musician, Tic who recently rebranded hin stage name to Tic has bemoaned about how selfish artists have become nowadays as compared prime days.

According to Tic, the selfishness among people in the Ghanaian music industry is what is killing the industry. The fight for supremacy shouldn’t be the ultimate goal of an artist.

He explained that the “one man chop” attitude is the reason very few artistes rules the music space within a period of time.

“In Ghana when you do something and someone wants to promote it, hates sets it. Why? Even if the person will come spice the show-up, they won’t bring them because everybody wants to chop alone. That is the problem in our music industry. One man chop. Simple.” he revealed on Citi TV.

He also expressed his displeasure about the fact that a few musicians are made to hijack the music scene.

“How can we have in a whole year, only three artists doing shows when the whole nation has 100 artists?” he asked.

When asked if the few artists being booked for shows are not just satisfying the demand and supply theory, he answered that “we create demand.”
