Ghanaian musician, Patapaa, has relayed a message to his detractors.

Patapaa, who soared to fame with his 2017 hit "One Corner," has voiced his frustration about critics who doubt his talent and attribute his success to mere luck.

He has labeled such individuals as oblivious to his true worth, dismissing their claims of his lack of musical aptitude.

Speaking to Graphic Showbiz, Patapaa expressed his determination to overturn the disparaging stereotypes that have been detrimental to his career, aiming to enlighten those he deems uninformed.

"Radio and TV commentators, presenters, and some within the industry have unjustly pegged me as lacking talent, which is simply not true. Such negative perceptions hinder my progress," he stated.

He pointed out the irony of these individuals acting as industry experts without a proper understanding of how it operates.

Patapaa is resolved to confront this issue, stating, "They seize every chance to undermine my brand, not realizing the effort it takes to build it. They're quick to attempt to dismantle what I've painstakingly built."

He continued, "I've been wrongfully tagged as someone who doesn't produce meaningful music for years, making it tough to work hard against this false image. It's time for that narrative to end."

He plans to educate and instill discipline in the music scene, attributing the negative comments to envy rather than a fair assessment of his music.

Patapaa credits his fanbase, the Pa2PaSojas, for their unwavering support, which has prevented him from abandoning his musical pursuits.

"The Pa2PaSojas recognize and appreciate my contributions to the music scene. Critics are often fans of other artists, aiming to belittle me for their gain. They should at least acknowledge that 'One Corner' brought international attention to Ghana," he concluded.
