Over the past weekend, Ghanaian fans of the popular Indian Series aired on Adom TV, Kumkum Bhagya, were given a special treat as the cast of the series were invited to Ghana for a meet-and-greet dinner.

Pragya, Abhi, Aliya and Raj, who are among the main characters of the series, arrived in Ghana last Friday, and spent the weekend meeting their beloved fans in Accra, Tamale, and Kumasi.

The event which was organized by Adom TV, was met with mixed reactions by the public, especially when the price of the tickets announced for the dinner was GHC 600.

A large section of the Ghanaian public expressed fury at the amount, criticizing fans who had happily bought their tickets to go see the series cast.

Among those who joined the critique against people who paid the ticket price, is the leader of the Ebenezer Miracle Worship Center, Prophet Ebenezer Adarkwa.

According to the Man of God, who is popularly known as Opambour or Prophet 1, it was disheartening to see people willingly pay the GHC 600 ticket price ‘just to see some Indian stars.’

In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh, the prophet who was speaking on his TV network, could not fathom how people spend such an amount of money just to take photos with another human being just like them.

Prophet Opambour further lambasted Ghanaians for spending money irresponsibly, a trait he says is detrimental to the nation.

The Kumkum Bhagya cast thrilled their fans at the meet and greet sessions in Accra and Kumasi on Friday and Saturday respectively.

The crowd at the Accra sports stadium came alive, when Abhi of the main cast and Pragya showed of their dancing skills to Patapaa's 'One Corner' song.
