Organizers of Ghana Music Awards are biased - Kokoveli

Kokoveli Kokoveli

Veteran Ghanaian Hiplife artiste, Kokoveli, has explained why he does not take Ghana Music Awards, organized by Charter house, serious.

In a one on one video interview with Ghanacreativearts.com,(Nii Attractive),Kokoveli mentioned that the organizers of the award already know what they are doing wrong so he will not like to go into details into teaching them what’s right.

He shared how he had been nominated several times in the scheme but never won a single nomination. “My first track ‘zaaza’ was the biggest hit in Ghana at the time I released it. I got 8 nominations that year but never received any award” Kokorveli intimated.

He added: “I don’t think about Ghana music awards and don’t believe in the fact that an artiste have to go and buy forms to be nominated. Kwadee never received any award but almost all his songs were big and still making impact; so personally, I don’t think about Ghana music awards.”

As to why he didn’t receive any award at the time of his peak, he mentioned that sometimes, one deserves an award under the year of review but if you refuse to lick the asses of the organizers, you will not be awarded.
