Osibisa Teams Up With Scratch Studios

Iconic World class afro rock band Osibisa is set to collaborate with Scratch Studios in what promises to be the most mind-blowing series of live performances ever held in Ghana.

News reaching 'Beatwaves' indicates that feverish planning is afoot for Osibisa to storm Ghana with a line-up which will include West Indian guitarist and singer Wendell Richardson to boost morale in support of the Black Stars, possibly before the World Cup takes off in South Africa.

Osibisa is clearly a pacesetter when it comes to Ghana and Africa, as they literally conquered the world with their mesmerizing criss cross rhythms that explode with happiness, putting Africa on the world map over 40 years ago, and still currently rocking the world with a massive world tour to promote their latest release "Osee Yee", which is making huge waves in Europe.

Osibisa's massive world hits include Sunshine Day, Welcome Home, Music For Gong Gong, ‘Woyaya’, Coffee Song, Dance The Body Music and several others. Many of their songs entered the prestigious Billboard Charts in the USA and several other European charts.

Osibisa is clearly among key iconic figures including Ghana's first president, Kwame Nkrumah, and the Black Stars that most people in the world identify Africa, and particularly Ghana with.

??Teddy Osei, iconic saxophonist and leader of Osibisa, recently joined Scratch Studios as a member of its board of directors, an important endorsement and clear testament to Scratch Studio’s emerging status as a potential world class player in the entertainment sector.
