Sensational gospel musician EwuraGold known in real life as Mariam Abena Yamoah has stated that the lack of progress in the music industry especially the gospel fraternity is because there is no unity among the gospel musicians.

According to her, though she’s never had a beef with any Ghanaian gospel musician, she believes the reason why gospel musicians are not given the needed attention is not because of bad leadership but rather lack of unity among gospel musicians in Ghana.

Ewura Gold made this revelation in an interview with DJ Nyaami on SVTV Africa.

“The isn't much unity among gospel musicians. The unity is just not there even though Mama Mary Ghansah tried bringing us together as Women in Gospel, it's not really working. Example is, when I wanted Joyce Blessing for a collaboration, I literally went through hell in getting her but eventually she did it. She didn't take me anything but it came with lots of conditions. But apart from that, it's difficult getting a collaboration from your fellow gospel artist, some even want to charge you big money before jumping on your song. So we pretend to be united but inwardly, we are not." She said.

EwuraGold also added that, after Joyce Blessing agreed to come to her Praise Album launch, she only came to spend about two minutes and left.

EwuraGold further narrated how popular gospel artiste Empress Gifty Adorye also threatened to fight her if she does not stay off her husband, which she said, it's a wrong thing to do as a minister of the gospel. She added, even though the move didn't go down well with her, she has forgotten about it and moved on.

She noted that, no matter the extent of good music by Ghanaian gospel musicians, it will only take peace and unity to propagate God's message to world.

Meanwhile, the 'Nyame Ayebi' crooner stated categorically that many gospel artistes back out of doing music to win souls because of being financially constrained but it takes someone with a true calling from God to be able to sustain one’s self through these rough times.

The ‘My Praise Album’ crooner had a successful album launch on November 10 2019 at ICGC Kratos Temple, where one of the songs titled ’Nyame Ayebi’ features Joyce Blessing.

Ewurah’s songs can be found on all major streaming websites across Ghana.
