Veteran highlight musician Paapa Yankson was honoured at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
The once vibrant musician who was honoured with “Lifetime Achievement Award” at Ghana’s biggest music event defied sickness and age to announced to the excited crowd that he will return to the stage again better off than he currently is to entertain his fans next time.
Paapa Yankson who came to the stage amidst a standing ovation to take his award in a wheelchair and told the excited crowd:
“Life is full of ups and downs. There are times things will be rosy and there are times one will struggle but similar to Joseph in the Bible; he was sold as a slave, he was imprisoned at a point but eventually, he became the mayor of Egypt… That is just how life is. I will be back,” he concluded the soul touching speech.
Paapa Yankson took the opportunity to honour and show his appreciation to C.K Mann who he referred to as his good friend for introducing him to music and helping him become a musician and dedicated his award to him.
