After a successful launch of activities to mark the 20th anniversary of Obrafour’s life-changing album, ‘Pae Mu Ka’, last Wednesday, producer of the epic piece Edward Nana Poku Osei (Hammer) is set to host the rapper tonight to a private dinner.
Scheduled to come off at Urban Grill, the event will see Obrafour’s close friends in attendance as they wine and dine amidst witty conversations.
Personalities expected to grace the occasion include Member of Parliament for the North Tongu, Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa; actress Yvonne Nelson, Sarkodie and Reggie Rockstone.
Obrafour’s 10-track album (eight songs, an intro and outro) released in 1999, has been touted as the best of all time by many industry players and music enthusiast.
In fact, a number of Ghanaian rappers have stated without equivocation that it laid the strong foundations for their careers and love for music.
“I was Vice President of the Scripture Union and so you know what we used to say at the time about hiplife music we thought it was ungodly and we should not associate but when ‘Pae Mu Ka’ was launched even for Chrifes (born again Christians) SU executives we could find solace in ‘Pae Mu Ka’” said Hon. Ablakwa during the launch.
The album featured songs like ‘Kwame Nkrumah’, ‘Yaanom’, ‘Pae Mu Ka’, ‘Kokonsa’ amongst others.
Meanwhile, the ‘Pae Mu Ka’ concert is slated for November 9, 2019 at the Accra International Conference Centre.
