Panji Anoff: Mugeez, Yaa Pono will be relevant always

CEO of Pidgin Music ahead of his talk at YFM and KFC’s So Good Music stopped by Y studios to warm patrons up for the event.

The super producer and manager talking to J.O.E.L on the Dryv of Ur Lyfe on 107.9 touching on Ghana’s King Ayisoba revealed;

“Once you start touring, you can get six or seven shows on a tour and start to make decent money. If you like go and see the house Ayisoba is building in Bolgatanga. You might think 15 years is a long time to get to this point where he is touring worldwide. On 15th of June, he starts his European Tour, like six weeks and he will be playing about 35 shows, it’s a mixture, once you are in Europe, try and play as many shows as possible.

"Small and intimate venues to big concerts; you try and fill up your programme. That’s what he always wanted to achieve so he has achieved it and there’s still a long way to go because until he has a Grammy and all the possible awards he still has a great journey ahead of him.”

Panji known for grooming the controversial FOKN Bois talking about his Protegee Yaa Pono compared;

“Yaa Pono is not just a rapper, I was talking to someone yesterday and I said I personally believe in forty years’ time the same way Amakye Dede was around many years ago and still relevant now and the same way Ambollay was live years ago and still live today; the two people who will still be relevant for me include Mugeez and Yaa Pono.

"I may not be alive by then to know if I was right or wrong but that’s what I see. They are the artists whom I think have something exceptional. Yaa Pono for instance, from his songs and concepts you can tell he is star with a big future.”
