The night in Accra International Conference Centre was one that would forever be reminisced by the personages who attended the 2019 edition of Ghana Meets Naija concert. People came from different homes to witness the event in full support and they weren’t disappointed as Reggae artiste Ras Kuuku, “One Corner” hit maker, Patapaa and young kid Fameye put up a spectacular stagecraft leaving Nigeria’s music “hulks” with no records.

The 15000 capacity venue was the place to be for all music lovers on Saturday night.

Representing Ghana at the ninth edition, Swedru “Kanye West”, Patapaa’s spectacular and outstanding delivery will forever be stuck in the minds of the patrons who were present at the dome. His skill of commitment was just fascinating.

Patapaa featured as a Ghanaian football player wearing jersey number 9. In his craft, he posed as a “Musical Black Stars of Ghana’ striker who was down with an injury by his Nigerian opponents; the “Musical Super Eagles” of Nigeria.
In the brief skit, Patapaa, after being treated by the medical team, rose with much more energy, poised to save Ghana in the ‘tournament’ with Ghana’s “God Bless Our Homeland” anthem playing in the background.
Ghana’s “Buju Banton” Ras Kuuku also pulled a fiery performance on the night with his great style of thrilling.

Although there were other performers on the night, Ras Kuuku stole the show with his energetic show with hit songs like, Kpagbum Style, Adi? B? Kye, Nwansina, others.

Kumasi based “ladies” man, Fameye served patrons with acoustic version of his hit “Addiction and Nothing I get” song. The fun performance that seemed to appeal to get almost all the ladies on their feet started with his guitar and calm appearance, catching the attention of many.

Leading the “Musical Black Stars” of Ghana was the R2Bees but unfortunately timing made their stage performance very dispiriting leaving patrons and Ghanaians crown Patapaa the “King” for the 2019 edition Ghana Meets Naija concert.

The "Musical Super Eagle" of Nigeria represented in style as well; Wande Coal, the “So Mi So” hitmaker, “Wey Tin We Gain” singer Victor AD, as well as BET nominee Teni.
Wande Coal came on stage with a bag full of surprises, and attracted some drama as well.

The night saw performances from Nigeria’s Victor AD, Teni, Wande Coal as well as Ghana’s R2bees, Patapaa, Tulenkey, Dadie Opanka, Quamina MP, Edem, Kwaw Kese, Keche and many others.

Over the years, Ghana Meets Naija has been known as the platform for the biggest artistes in both Ghana and Nigeria to share one stage and thrill music lovers.

It has always seen massive patronage because of the list of top African acts it parades.

However, the “Slay Association” also came to work. I must be trailing behind in the world of fashion because some spotted outfits never imagined to be found in vogue were seen.

All in all, many believe the Musical Blackstar of Ghana owned that night.
