Derick Kobina Bonney popularly known as DKB has descended heavily on critics who say Ghanaian comedians are not funny adding such people lack common sense and they (comedians) will set up a humor deprived society for such people.

He said this in an interview with GhanaWeb at “Laughline” special edition at the Silverbird cinema, Accra Mall over the weekend.

“People who claim Ghanaian comedians are not funny are people who do not have common sense “, he fumed.

He said Ghanaian Comedians over the years have improved with their performances to the extent of hosting their own shows.

“Coming to people who still think that we are not funny, I think you lack common sense to say that. We’ve done so many shows, Comedy Express, monthly shows, Charter House Night of Laughs, Gh comedians have been performing on it for the past two and half years and I don’t think you are wiser than Charter House and the person saying that I am sure the least paid person at Charter House can take care of his family because you have to be very poor, mentally deprived and aimless to say such a thing, looking at how far things have developed. It is like saying Sarkodie cannot rap or Shatta Wale doesn’t know Dancehall. So people who still say we are not funny them too they don’t have common sense”
