The Gospel music industry has always seen a lot of enterprising gospel artistes whose presence in the music industry has changed the lives of a number of gospel music lovers.
One of such gospel artistes whose music has made a lot of impact on the lives of many is Pastor Peter Kayode, who is the general overseer of the Awakeners’ Chapel International.
Pastor Peter Kayode, whose music has caught up with music lovers both in Ghana and Nigeria, had the rudiments of music right from his childhood and has nurtured himself very well to become a fine gospel star.
The enterprising singer with an amazing voice managed to carve a niche for himself from the time he became a pastor and a singer. He is out to do more than just entertain; he wants to make a difference in the lives of the youth that he meets.
He is a seasoned, spirit-filled gospel singer who usually sweeps audiences off their feet whenever he mounts the stage to perform.
The new album, ‘Good News’, according Pastor Peter, who sings with so much passion, consists of 10 tracks which would keep gospel music lovers on their dancing feet.
‘Good News’ is yet to enjoy massive airplay on all the local fm stations throughout the country. The album has tracks like ‘Thank You Jesus’, ‘Back To Sender’, ‘Don’t Give Up’, ‘Jesus Cares’, among others.
All the songs on the album are very good and danceable and in some of the songs, he sends a message, urging everyone to praise God always no matter the circumstances, and be thankful to Him at all times.
The songs are inspirational and soul-touching, and the rhythms and modulations in some of the songs could easily compete with those on the international music market.
His music is basically a combination of the traditional gospel rhythms mixed with other danceable gospel tunes, and his creativity is superb.
The songs have beautiful drum-beats running through the programming and instrumentation, and backing vocals are equally superb. The album is a must-have, rich in rhythm production and arrangement, creativity and ministration of God’s word.
Pastor Kayode told BEATWAVES that he used his musical works to transform people and win them over for Christ, and not for monetary gains.
“I love music and for over two decades, music has been part of me. Music is all about what the public or music lovers want and this has motivated me to come out with my albums,” he stressed.
According to him, his passion for gospel music was very strong and a lot of people had been rejuvenated through gospel music, adding, “I am happy that my songs have been attracted to a lot of people”.
