Pictures: Golden Tulip Hotel and Luv FM give Kumasi its first bridal fair

The Golden Tulip Hotel, Kumasi in partnership with one of the leading urban radio stations in the metropolis, Luv FM recently gave the people of the ‘Garden City’ their first taste of a bridal fair on the premises of the hotel.

The fair which assembled exhibitors from wedding , family and lifestyle related companies saw hundreds of residents trooping to the Golden Tulip Hotel, to be part of the 3-day exhibition which was a one stop-shop for prospective couples and others to access bridal goods and services. There were over thirty exhibitors from the areas of wedding dressmaking, wedding and events decorating, wedding cake and confectionary making, honeymoon services, beauty and skin care product and services, drinks and food catering, photography among others.

Patrons were treated to free wine-tasting, hair styling, facials, pedicure and manicure, and other goodies from exhibitors and sponsors while Luv FM provided the right soundtrack to the event. The radio station also broadcast some of its programs live from the Bridal Fair grounds. Other activities at the fair included a mock wedding and fashion/modeling show which attracted the interest of many, whilst the marriage seminar with some seasoned family counselors added more value to the fair.

The Golden Tulip Hotel also used the fair to unveil its exciting wedding package the promises to capture wonderful memories for guests who use one or more of the services available in the package. The package includes venues for wedding ceremony or reception with the choice of conference rooms, poolside, meeting rooms, pavilion and garden. There are also other packages including special room and honeymoon services for newlyweds.

The Bridal Fair, which is modeled after the Joy Bridal Fair in Accra, is expected to be an annual event in the Garden City. According to the General Manager of the Hotel, Xavier Hubert, the fair is part of a series of activations aimed at providing entertainment and leisure for the people of Kumasi and visitors alike. He hinted that through partnership with other stakeholders, the hotel hopes to put some spotlight on Kumasi and give residents an exciting variety of entertainment and leisure options. As part of this commitment, the Golden Tulip Hotel, Kumasi will host the nominees’ party for the 2011 Ghana Movie Awards on November 26 as well as a series of exciting activities this Christmas season.
