The 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards saw Dancehall artistes Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy involved in an incident that now prevents them from performing together at the same venue.

Following the altercation at the awards ceremony, the Ghana Police Service required both artistes to sign a bond forbidding joint performances at events.

This undisclosed agreement has led to confusion among event organizers who unknowingly booked both artistes for the same event.

Entertainment pundit and media personality Ola Michael commented on the matter, saying, "There's a bond between Shatta, Stonebwoy, and the police that stops them from performing together at the same time and place. The police's silence on this matter is causing confusion for event organizers, which isn't fair. They should disclose it."

After the chaos at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards on May 18, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale were taken to court.

Stonebwoy faced charges for offensive conduct conducive to breach of peace and displaying a firearm without permission.
