The 2024 ‘Crop Over’ Festival in Barbados was somewhat distinct as it witnessed the participation of some of the world’s popular female celebrities.
Noted as the biggest and most popular festival in the Caribbean country, the likes of Rihanna, Nigerian afrobeat singer Ayra Starr, and popular Jamaican singer Aqyila, were present at the event, which sparked some buzz online.
The singers adorned themselves in the traditional carnival outfits, which is usually rocked half-naked.
Rihanna, a native of Barbados, rocked a custom bedazzled costume adorned with gold and bronze jewels that shimmered under the sun.
The ‘Umbrella’ hitmaker's costume was paired with a matching gold and bronze headpiece, complementing her chestnut tresses, streaked with blonde highlights.
In the case of Ayra Starr, she clad herself in blue mixed with lavender and lemon colours.
She also had some white feathers with multicoloured gems embellished around the outfit and OTT headpiece.
Jamaican singer Aqyila wore a yellow and blue outfit, paired with a headpiece and some colourful feathers.
