A preacher man known as Bishop Thunder has made his choice concerning the most coveted award of the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Founder and leader of the Jesus Pentecostal Ministry, Bishop Thunder, has named Shatta Wale as the one he wishes to win the 2019 VGMA Artiste of the Year.
In an interview that was sighted by YEN.com.gh, Bishop Thunder was heard expressing his opinion on the upcoming VGMA event.
"I have a lot of respect for Shatta Wale, Stonebwo y and Kuami Eugene and I listen to their music a lot," he said.
"Even though Stonebwoy and Kuami Eugene are very good singers, I wish Shatta Wale will win Artiste of the Year," he stated.
Bishop Thunder in his comment noted that his prediction is not from God but on a personal level since he loves the 'Gringo' hitmaker.
The preacher man jabbed Ghanaians who on watching the video will slam him for praising circular musicians.
"Some of you will say I am praising worldly musicians. That's silly! Are you not on earth? Some of you talk like you are in heaven," he slammed.
He noted that he is someone who is interested in the Ghana music industry since the musicians are doing well.
Shatta Wale is up in competition against Stonebwoy, Kuami Eugene, King Promise, Joe Mettle and Sarkodie for the VGMA Artiste of the Year award.
However, the self-proclaiming king of African dancehall has tipped himself to win the accolade over his competitors, claiming that he has worked harder than the others during the year of review.
Meanwhile, Shatta Wale was in the news recently after coming top of ahead of dancehall acts Stonebwoy and Samini to win two awards at IRAWMA.
At the just ended International Reggae and World Music Awards event, the 'My Level' hitmaker came top to win Best afro-beat entertainer and Best video of the year with his Gringo song.
