President Mahama sets up aging Creative Arts Fund

As part of seeing to the welfare of the aged within the creative arts industry, his Excellency president John Dramani Mahama has set up an Aging Creative Arts Fund – which on record, is the first of its kind in the history of Ghana’s creative arts and showbiz industry.

The Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, Madam Elizabeth Ofosu-Agyare, Speaking to GhanaPoliticsOnline.com on the Creative Arts Aging Fund, said though the fund is part of why the president set up the ministry, its implementation has taken time, but in less than three months, it will be launched.

She also added that, the fund is not only to take care of the sick but also, cater for practitioners in all the different sects of the creative arts industry.

“The sensitization goes through a process and we have finished the sensitization of the Creative Arts Bill. We have a cabinet memo right now and so we are pushing the Film Bill in parliament before parliament rise” she assured.
