PROPHET Seth Narh Djabatey, Founder and Leader of United Christian Holy Temple, has revealed that no amount of witchery or prayers would prevent the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo from becoming the next president of Ghana.
According to him, he had received a revelation from God which expressly stated that contrary to polls in the media, the December presidential election would not go into a run-off.
He therefore threw a challenge at other pastors and spiritual leaders with contrary revelations, saying any such message should be declared as fake.
Speaking to DAILY GUIDE over the weekend at his Manya-Kpongunor Temple in the Manya Krobo District of the Eastern Region, he cautioned politicians to be wary of false prophets, many of whom are out to serve their stomachs and are therefore making fake prophesies.
He stated also that the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the nation's largest opposition party, would lose a number of its parliamentary seats to the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He stressed that even though the race would be keenly contested the NPP presidential candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo would definitely succeed President John Agyekum Kufuor on 7th January, next year.
"I am not out to play politics, but as a prophet it is equally my duty to tell the people of this country whatever message God has for them," he said.
The 79-year old prophet told the paper that he has had similar visions before, particularly ahead of the 2000 and 2004 elections, all of which came to pass, and expressed optimism that this one too would not fail.
Declaring that the December presidential and parliamentary elections were already foregone conclusions, Prophet Djabatey as well denied that the elections would plunge the nation into war.
"This year's election would be One Touch as there would not be any need for a run-off.
The Lord says he has anointed him as the next president who will bring peace, development and progress to Ghana. What is written is written," he stated.
According to Prophet Djabatey, soon after the 2004 elections an Angel of the Lord came to him with the message 'Akufo-Addo will lead the next government', and developments since then indicated that the December election was already a foregone conclusion.
On the said victory of Nana Addo, he said he had the revelation long before the ruling party held its congress at the University of Ghana to pick its presidential candidate, adding that even when the number of NPP aspirants shot up to 18 he had continued to receive divine assurances that the former Foreign Minister was going to carry the day.
"In 2000 I had a vision that the then candidate Kufuor would be president, and it came to pass.
The same angel appeared in a vision four years later and revealed to me the outcome of the 2004 election. If all the two were fulfilled, why should I doubt my God?", he asked.
Asked why he did not cause publications with his previous revelations, he said he was at the time cautious not to be seen as partisan, but explained that he had received specific directives this time around to make it public.
"I think it is my duty as a pastor to put this important information into public domain; moreover I have been directed to go public with it," he concluded.
Prophet Djabatey had prophesied and healed various sicknesses since 1962.
