Prophet Ogyaba defends Obofour’s statement about lack of genuine men of God in Ghana

Prophet Ogyaba, the General Overseer of Holiness of Christ Zion Ministry, also known as Emmanuel Akwasi Boakye, has come out in support of Rev. Obofour's recent statement that there are no genuine men of God in Ghana.

He believes that those who have criticized Rev. Obofour may have misunderstood his intentions, which were to point out the inherent imperfections of human beings.

Prophet Ogyaba clarified that Rev. Obofour's goal was to raise awareness about the fallibility of men of God due to their human nature, and to encourage people to rely more on the Lord than on them.

During a discussion with Fiifi Pratt on Kingdom FM, Prophet Ogyaba mentioned that the critics of his colleague pastor have misinterpreted the core message of Rev. Obofour.

"I have watched the video, and the interpretation being made does not align with his intended meaning. Even Jesus, who was without sin, chose not to be addressed as father when he took human form, recognizing that only God deserves such a title. This indicates that human embodiment is inherently flawed.

"It is only by God's grace that we are sustained. Therefore, I believe he was not discussing righteousness but rather human fallibility. A quick viewing of the video could lead to misunderstanding, but his points were valid," he explained.

This defense comes after Rev. Obofour's remarks about the misconduct of some pastors, including involvement in adultery leading to divorce and engaging in fornication, like having sexual encounters with three women simultaneously (threesomes).

He suggested that these shortcomings among pastors reflect the absence of genuine men of God in Ghana, and urged people to put their trust in God instead.

"There are no authentic men of God in this country. No pastor has healing powers. I am not discrediting the church, which I would never do. Our focus should be on the one who endured three days of suffering for us, not on what they say. The one considered genuine has been involved in adultery, leading to divorce.

"Others have cheated people for money. Those claiming to be genuine men of God engage in threesomes. Some drive cars and evade paying customs duties. As a result, our church attendance should not be to follow a pastor, but to worship God," he said in a video posted by Zionfelix on his Instagram page.
