The "Prodigal Son" hitmaker, Prophet Sampson Archer, says every gift that God gives to people is appropriate for his people.
The prophet believes that gospel music is also a gift from God and a means to send the gospel to great multitudes, even to the remotest parts of the world.
He appealed to those who have this gift to put it to good use to achieve the purpose for which God gave it to them.
He said the message in the music must always be prepared in a special way because it is going to change the lives of the people.
The prophet added that music is a special gift from God, which was added to his calling, believing that the gift would help him reach out to many more people apart from his church.
The man of God, who is also the founder and leader of the Bethesda Prayer Camp at Domeabra, again mentioned that music heals, citing the example of the story of David and King Saul in the Bible.
"King Saul was not feeling well at the time, so David was charged to play music for the King, and every time David performed, the king got better," he emphasized.
According to the Prophet, he saw this vision very early, at age five, and started writing songs with special messages that could touch the hearts of his listeners.
The prophet said even at that young age, he performed at concert parties in the community; and like David, music has taken him from one stage to the other.
"After my experience in the village in the Western Region of Ghana, my parents took me to Ivory Coast to continue my education," he disclosed.
"While in Ivory Coast, I joined the Church of Pentecost, and with constant practice, my music career even got better," he added.
He noted that one day he asked his father to tell him the history of their village in Ivory Coast (Mohame), and with the information given to him, he went to the beach and stayed there almost the whole day.
When he came back, he sang a new song to his father with the lyrics being the same as the history of the town the father had earlier told him.
"This amazed my father and everyone else who listened to the song," he added.
He noted that from that day, he started performing his songs at funerals, festivals, and the chief's palace on special occasions to entertain guests who visited the town.
The prophet said while doing music, he also founded a prayer camp in Ivory Coast and became successful.
Asked how he was able to combine music with the prayer camp, the prophet explained that he managed the two through self-discipline, good time management, and dedication to the calling.
While in Côte d'Ivoire, he started music in 2007 with powerful tracks in French.
The man of God said he has four albums so far to his credit, with some of the popular songs being "Prodigal Son," "The Son of God," "Dis Un Mot," "Vanity of Life," among others.
His artist name is "Prophet Sampson A."
The gospel artist is optimistic about the chances of his music on the Ghanaian and world market, as the music is already receiving public attention just a few months after promotion.
"The Prodigal Son" hitmaker directed the public to follow and enjoy his music.
