It's been a great year for almost all the artistes who had the highest nominations which shows that all their hard work has been noticed. Getting nominated is a honour for all the artistes and of course, they all hope or want to win.

It's been a complete shock that Wutah is carrying the day with the highest nominations with Castro and Ofori Amponsah following up with eight awards each.

Nominations for the 7th Ghana Music Awards were announced at a press conference held in Alisa Hotel, a few weeks ago. Among the artistes that were present at the media launch were Mzbel, Amandzeba Nat Brew, Promzy of VIP, PV and Risky Sugar of Wutah, Batman, Tagoe Sisters, Lucky Mensah, Eugene of Praye and Mac Tontoh.

David Dontoh, the chairman of the Planning Committee, read the roster of those hopeful for the new designed plaque for GMA 2006.
