Ghanaian Hip hop/reggae artiste Jacob Nana Kwame Etroo known in showbiz as Quata Budukusu has lashed out at Ghanaian media for ignoring his Grammy awards consideration.

According to him, the media is quick to report negative news rather than positive or good news about artistes . He proceeded by saying that this is not helping the industry in any way.

The ' baby' hit maker in an interview with Accra based TV station on the ' Pae Mu Ka' entertainment show 'blasted' the media houses and said that their primary objective is to kill the music industry. He added that the media only choose to talk about negative things about artistes compared to good news about them.

He stated that his ' Quantum Riddim' reggae album was selected for Grammy awards consideration last year but none of the media houses in Ghana ever mentioned anything about it . According to him most artistes are doing great things to take the music industry to a higher level but the media are not helping in any way as they always keep mute on positive news about artistes .

Quata concluded that its high time Ghanaians support their own like the way Nigerians support their own .He disclosed that Media houses in Nigeria support and promote positive news in Nigerian but the opposite is in Ghana .

Quata Budukusu first made appearance on the music scene with his debut "Wonie" album produced by Hammer of the Last Two. The debut gave him the admiration of Ghanaians as the fastest tongue twisting rapper in Ghana, and have since then recorded with several international artistes and have recorded hit songs both in the Ghanaian local language and English.

He currently have a distribution deal with VPAL music, Quata Budukusu has set a world record by recording 13 songs on one Riddim Dubbed the Quantum Riddim Which was released via VPAL Music on 18th August 2017.

Some of the hit songs he recorded are 'one round knockout', 'baby', 'banger' . 'too bad' etc.
