Ace high-life artist, Oheneba Kissi, has expressed his bitterness over highlife artistes who have been neglected nowadays.

In an interview with Mike2 on Adom entertainment hall last Saturday said, it was very sad to see how high-life musicians are not recognized and cherished again.

Giving his tributes to the late highlife musician, Daasebre Gyamena, on the show, Oheneba Kissi bemoaned how most radio presenters have been continuously playing Daasebre’s songs after his death but failed to promote him when he was alive describing it as hypocrisy.

“Daasebre was struggling to get support from the presenters to at least promote his last album released last year but could not get such help – how can you guys be so wicked like that”, he fumed.

“Hiplife music has come a long way portraying our culture which is the backbone of our music in Ghana”, he noted.

The ‘ABC of Love’ hit maker said, he was disappointed in the media, particularly, the DJs and the presenters for failing to support their hardworks.

“It is heartbreaking to see how some of us are suffering and rejected even in the society”, he said.

He mentioned that one of the painful aspects was paying a presenter for a promotion but fails to deliver.

He said the past musicians dedicated their time and money to bring out good music to serve the country and also sent Ghana music to the international level but it seems their sweat and effort had been in vain.

On the same platform, one of the kings, Dada K.D, also shared the same sentiment with Oheneba Kissi, adding that, event organizers should use them in their events with other hip-life artistes.
