Following his outstanding performance in the radio industry in Kumasi, Kofi Asante Ennin, the morning show host of Nhyira FM in Kumasi, is being sought-after by some radio station owners who see a lot of potential in him.

Last month, two radio station owners visited him with the aim of signing a deal with him but he refused the offer with the excuse that it was too early.

BEATWAVES gathered that one of the radio stations in Accra is also working tirelessly behind closed doors to grab him to host one of its programmes.

Affectionately called Aduana Ba Kofi Asante, the hardworking broadcast journalist is, without doubt, a major force to reckon with in the radio industry.

Kofi Asante has a firm command over the English and Twi languages, which he uses to reach out to his numerous listeners in the Ashanti Region and beyond.

The creative radio journalist is very intelligent as he has control over past and current political, social, cultural and business issues in Ghana and the world at large.

Kofi Asante’s extraordinary works on radio have been recognised by scores of radio station owners across the country, who are chasing him to join their stations.

Some of the radio station owners are even prepared to pay huge amount of money plus a plush vehicle just to pluck him from Nhyira FM.

Among the stations that are interested in the services of Kofi Asante are Oyerepa FM, Pure FM and some Accra-based stations, BEATWAVES gathered.

BEATWAVES’ efforts to reach out to Kofi Asante to comment about the issue proved futile.

However, close associates of Kofi Asante have confirmed that, indeed, the Nhyira FM journalist is on the radar of several top radio stations in the country.

They even disclosed that one of radio stations has even offered to poach Kofi Asante with a Toyota Highlander car and GH¢370,000 for a four-year contract.

He is also the host of Nhyira FM’s political talk show christened Kukurantumi, which is aired on Saturday mornings.
