After winning his election as the President of the Students Representative Council (SRC) at the University of Ghana (UG), Guru NKZ has made a controversial observation about the outcome of the 2024 polls.
During an interview with Amansan Krakye, Maradona Yeboah Adjei, as he is known in real life, said research has shown that there is a link between UG SRC elections and Ghana’s political system.
“If you want a clear representation of Ghana’s politics, then look at what happens at the University of Ghana, Legon, during our Students Representative Council elections.
"That’s what will happen at the national level, and that’s what the researchers stand on to determine the outcome of the general elections in the country,” he opined on Cape Coast’s Property FM.
He continued, “The voter turnout was higher than in previous years that we have been voting on campus during the SRC elections, and the numbers were unprecedented.
"It was almost like 20,000 students voting, and we won by over 9,000 votes, close to 10,000 votes. So, I deserve to be given an egg to eat in celebration of my victory and hard work,” he disclosed.
