Responsible parenting will curb social media nudity – Blakk Rasta

Ghanaian reggae artiste and broadcaster Blakk Rasta has stated that the country needs more responsible parents to control nudity on social media.

According to him, when parents give their children proper training at home, they will not misbehave despite the increase in social media applications.

“If you are trained properly from your home, you can have five million social media outlets, you will never misbehave because you have that training, as charity begins at home. We need to look at our upbringing again, we need to have more responsible parenting. Once we are able to do that, I’m sure that we will go somewhere or else I’m afraid it’s going to be worse.”

Speaking in an interview with Nana Kwesi Asare on The Big Show on Class91.3FM on Saturday, 27 April 2019 about the recent hike in nudes on social media, the Obama hitmaker continued noted that: “Nudity itself is not wrong but it depends on how it is depicted”.

“In some cases”, he said, “before you can tell the real story, you have to include some nudity but it depends on how you tell that story, so, I think that the biggest solution we can have for this thing is the upbringing, without that we have a long way to go.

“Anybody can go on social media to do anything; before you track it, it has even gone viral. People might have downloaded a lot of such stuff. That notwithstanding, I think the moral fibre of the society has to be heightening. We have to be ticking that moral fibre,” he added.
