The Apostle-General of the Royalhouse Chapel International (RCI), Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah, has provided details of how celebrated veteran Ghanaian actress Grace Omaboe, popularly known as Maame Dokono, became aggressive toward pastors after the death of her mother.

According to him, a Ghanaian pastor had foretold Maame Dokono’s sister, who was then looking for a child, that she was unable to conceive because their mother used the sperm of her (sister's) husband to neutralize her fertilization period.

He explained that upon hearing such news, Maame Dokono’s sister and her husband confronted their mother, who was shocked by the news. She fell sick, and eventually died.

As a result of her death, Maame Dokono vowed to deal with Ghanaian pastors on the radio, as she used to be a presenter then.

“There is a celebrity in Accra called Grace Omaboe, Maame Dokono. This week she is celebrating 80 years, and she is being celebrated by the entertainment fraternity in Accra.

Maame Dokono was a radio presenter, and she would always sit on the radio and insult men of God. Why? Because her sister was in one of these charismatic churches, and then they gave her sister a prophecy. The prophecy was that the reason her sister was not getting pregnant was because their mother was taking her husband’s sperm every night and drinking it.

“So, after the service and the prophecy, Maame Dokono’s sister and her husband went to their mother, an old woman, and confronted her. The mother said I don’t know all that you are talking about. As a result of these accusations, the mother fell ill and died.

“So, Maame Dokono swore that as for these prophets, she would never forgive us. On the radio, she would lambast us from morning till evening,” Rev. Korankye-Ankrah said while delivering a sermon to his congregation.

According to the man of God, Maame Dokono lambasted many of them, and most pastors were afraid of her.

Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah explained that Maame Dokono had a change of mind after her daughter’s pregnancy reached 12 months without delivery, which led her to seek his intervention.

He asserted that he initially had reservations about meeting her because of her attacks on pastors, but later they had negotiations, and her daughter was able to receive divine intervention, after which Maame Dokono became a member of the church.

“One Sunday, they told me Maame Dokono was coming, and I said, God, tomorrow I am going to be in the newspapers for all the wrong things. So, she came and after the service, I took her into the office and asked, what can I do for you? She said she had a daughter who had been pregnant for the past twelve months without delivering.

“The following day, I went to her house with my team, and the daughter was there. I asked her to bring the daughter to the living room, and then we started praying.

“I poured anointing oil, and we started anointing the house. Then we heard somebody screaming from the kitchen, why are you here to worry us, foolish people? Get out of this place! So, I asked, who is she? and they said, our maid.

“She came and said that she had been sent from the village to make sure that the woman does not deliver. We prayed, and the following week she was taken to the hospital and delivered,” he narrated.
