Veteran musician, Akosua Agyapong has lambasted the entire executives of the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) including their new Chairman, Rex Omar, describing them as too corrupt.
Speaking on ATINKA TV morning show, ‘’GHANA NIE’’ with Ama Gyenfa Ofosu-Darkwah Friday, Akosua Agyapong accused former executives of conniving with the current executives to squander monies belonging to musicians.
‘They are so selfish and think about themselves alone by squandering royalties from the ministry, radio stations, spinners and the rest and you call them executives? They are not my executives!’’ she fumed.
GHAMRO has for many years been bedeviled with a series of controversies concerning its elections and delayed royalties to members.
Recently, self- acclaimed dancehall king, Shatta Wale threatened ‘to go haywire’ if GHAMRO does not pay royalties due him.
