Nollywood actress Rita Dominic is set to star in Sparrow Studio’s ‘Two of a Kind’ movie as she arrives in Ghana for the filming of the project.

At a press launch in Accra on Saturday, July 6, 2024, Rita Dominic expressed delight about the script, saying it was exciting to be part of Shirley Frimpong-Manso’s project.

“This is a lovely script,” said Rita Dominic. “It’s about love, it’s about life, and kind of deals with some of the issues people are dealing with.”

“So, I like that it touches on everything. It’s a feel-good movie and I think it will cut across different generations. I’m looking forward to the success,” the award-winning Nigerian actress said.

She praised Shirley Frimpong-Manso for her quality productions and her commitment to offering young talents a platform to showcase and develop their skills. According to her, the Ghanaian director and producer’s dedication to promoting emerging actors is commendable.

“I particularly like, Shirley, that you give young people the platform,” said Rita Dominic. “There are so many young talented people in Africa, and many a time, they look for platforms where they can show the world what they have. So, I’m glad that you’re doing this.”

According to producers, the movie will be shown at the Silverbird Cinemas this Christmas. The movie stars Ghana’s Gloria Sarfo and Adomaa who were present at the media launch.

Other celebrities who graced the launch were actress Jasmine Baroudi, ace broadcaster Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), and actress and television show host Naa Ashorkor.
