The spirit of Reggae legend Bob Marley will be revived in South Africa this week. That is the promise made by Rita Marley, his widow, who jetted into the country from Ghana this morning. Marley is in South Africa as part of the National Women's Day celebrations.
She, together with her group the I-Threes, have toured the world with her late husband Bob Marley and the Wailers. She has promised reggae fans a trip down memory lane during her performances in Johannesburg, Durban, Mpumalanga and Cape Town.
Marley says she is happy to be part of the country's ten years of democracy celebrations. Her fellow group members are Marcia Griffiths and Judy Mowatt. The I- Threes will also hold a workshop to discuss the global influence of Reggae.
