Rockstone damns critics of Black Stars Ambassadors

Celebrated ‘grandpapa of hiplife’ Reggie Rockstone says the criticisms against the Black Stars Ambassadors are much ado about nothing.

A group of actors, actresses, movie producers, musicians and ex-sportsmen is representing Ghana at the World Cup as brand Ambassadors.

They include Shatta Wale, John Dumelo, Abedi Pele, Becca, Azumah Nelson, Jackie Appiah, Tony Yeboah, Akua Atta Kyeiwaa, Wayoosi, Kwaku Manu, Ras Niini, Fumyaa, Kwame B.A and Jones Agyeman.

The trip to Brazil is being sponsored by a consortium of corporate organisations rallied together by the Government. The announcement sparked some uproar among football fans and some politicians who did not see reason in flying the group to Brazil for the World Cup.

However Reggie Rockstone, who was a guest on Radio XYZ’s Health Walk programme on Sunday, told host Kweku Botwe that the criticisms are unnecessary.

“That’s no biggie. Come on now. I’d rather them than our politicians and their girlfriends sitting on the plane going to Brazil for holidays. These are our celebrity and they will definitely bring some type of vibe….so more power to them and let’s go and give their support and win whatever it is that we went out there to win. I have no problem with that. It smells nice,” Rockstone said.
